CCGS Tops National tables

Central Coast Grammar School’s academic results are among the Nation’s very best, as confirmed by rankings in the Weekend Australian Your School feature on Saturday 20 June 2015.

Parents looking for a coeducational school for their sons and daughters will be thrilled to see that one of the nation’s very best is right here on the Central Coast, with CCGS listed 26th in Australia.

The early years are crucial in switching children on to learning and CCGS is also listed 25th amongst the best Primary Schools in the Nation.

The tables reflect the achievements of schools that scored the highest results in last year’s reading, writing and numeracy NAPLAN tests in Years 3,5,7 & 9.

“Parents, students and teachers across our community have told us that achieving academic potential is very important to them, so I congratulate everyone involved on these fabulous results,” said Headmaster Bill Low. “Families will be extremely proud to see how we compare with high profile schools nationwide.”

“Excellence in literacy and numeracy is of course just the start of the balanced education CCGS provides. Children are motivated and keen to learn here because we make an equal commitment to a rich and comprehensive cocurricular program and we emphasise the uniqueness of the individual within a culture of high expectations.”

“We’ve just launched Next Generation Teaching and Learning the strategic plan that will take us to 2020. Central to developing our contemporary learning community is ensuring that our teachers are the very best they can be and that our students reach their potential in all areas of their development.”
