Hot hoops

The RLC was abuzz on Wednesday afternoon when the CCGS ISA Firsts took to the court against a visiting basketball team from Bellflower High School, California.

It was an exciting game with both teams hoop-to-hoop for the first quarter. It wasn't to be this time though, with the Bellflower boys securing the win. "Although the Firsts lost 71-43, it was competitive until the end," said basketball convener, Mr John Gunderson.

It was a great opportunity for the CCGS boys to play against an international team in friendly rivalry. "The Bellflower players come from south Los Angeles and their gratitude for the hospitality after the game towards our players and parents was overwhelming. We thank them for their friendly spirit towards our players and wish them a safe trip home," said John.
