Family Support Scheme
The CCGS Volunteer Family Support Scheme was established in 1994 to provide support for students, families and staff in times of special need.
Many families have good support networks, which can provide appropriate assistance in times of crisis. These families can find, however, that their normal support may not be available just at the time it is needed. Other families, for a variety of reasons, do not have family or friends they can call on for help during times of illness, bereavement, separation or accidents.
The CCGS Volunteer Family Support Scheme consists of families associated with our school who have volunteered to assist other families if/when required. Such assistance may take the form of:
- Providing meals
- Assisting with transport
- Providing emergency accommodation
- Hospital visits
- Mowing lawns, etc.
Each year letters are sent out to all parents providing an opportunity to become part of the CCGS Volunteer Family Support Scheme and to indicate which areas of support they are able to provide.
Families should always feel comfortable about asking for assistance. If your family should need assistance, or if you know of a family who may require help, please contact Trish Burne (Headmaster's Secretary) firstname.lastname@example.org (02) 4365 8412
