The Fathers' Group encourages fathers to be involved in the school community in the ways they enjoy and helps build and sustain lasting bonds. The Group works together to provide an opportunity for fathers to interact with their children, and for children to see that their fathers are interested in doing things with them - all in a semi structured, supportive, safe, friendly and fun environment away from the family home. Their aim is to
- Develop and enhance father-to-child interaction in a group situation
- Offer opportunities for fathers who are separated from the family to have effective time together with their children
- Encourage fathers to get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere
- Support the school’s sustainability programs
Very popular Fathers' Group events include an annual Father's and Children camp and an annual Father's and Children breakfast, with plans to extend activities into the Senior School.
