Our aim is to assist you in a friendly and helpful manner during your first contact with us and work as a team to help resolve your issue as soon as possible.

How you can help us
Be polite and courteous to our staff
Computer issues are often frustrating, particularly if a deadline is looming. However, angry words and unhelpful comments will only have a negative impact on the situation and potentially put the technician offside. This will make it harder to resolve the issue. Keep in mind the helpdesk staff are here to help you and work through your issue with you and are not the cause of the issue.
Be patient if our queues are long
Sometimes there are peaks in demand for the Helpdesk. Feel assured that your request is important to us and during these times we are actively working through queues to get back to you as soon as we can.
Have your problem detailed as best you can for us
Recording details of the error messages and the steps you took before the issue occurred and sending these to us will help us identify and solve your problem quicker. Where possible, please avoid sending us support requests with minimal information.
Remember, the helpdesk team are not the cause of your issue and are here to help you.
There are times of the year when there is considerable load on the Department and your call or problem may take some time to address.
